An administrator can provide different types of access and administrative rights to other users on Hosportal. The types of access are view, edit, add and admin.
Most hospitals have enabled email access to some or all of their staff. Only some hospitals use SMS messaging. If your hospital has both options, then the rights will be the same for both emails and SMS messages.
To view access options, go to the Admin menu (A) and then select the "Staff Access" option.
You can inspect and amend user's access in the one screen. Administrative rights can be adjusted for various aspects of their usage (e.g. admin for "email" for a particular roster).
First, select the relevant staff from the first drop down menu (B). Then you will need to select which role (C) and what HosPortal function (D) you are wanting to adjust for a particular person. For example, an individual could be granted access to/visibility over administrators but not consultants.
Please note, if you are wanting to grant access to a number of different roles or functions, you will need to do this multiple times under different drop down options.
The various radio button options (E) can be selected to amend access. For messaging ('email', which also includes text messaging), 'Add', 'Edit' and 'Admin' will all allow a user the ability to send emails to specified groups.
You can also access and amend a user's access information through their profile. Go to staff (F) and select the relevant person:
Then select Access (G):
And Edit (H) the matrix appropriately:
